Elly Hallam

Managing Director

Elly has been the booking agent at Global Havens since 1999. She also looks for potential properties and works with the owners in preparing the homes for guests. Elly has travelled to Mexico many times and has scouted out homes there for Global Havens' clients to holiday in. She enjoys helping people find the right vacation home and has the knowledge to do it. "We don't want our clients to have any negative surprises when they arrive. We hope to hear that their experience was better than described on our website.."

Elly has lived on a forested acreage on Gabriola Island since 1974. Elly and her husband Dave have two grown sons, James and Jon. Elly is proud to have James working with the company as Director of IT & Marketing.

Cheryl Boorer

Director of Finance

Cheryl handles all the company's financial matters as well as owner accounting and management.

Cheryl grew up on Gabriola Island and left for the big city, only to be drawn back to the idyllic life in 1992. Raising a child on Gabriola seemed a much better option to her and her husband. In 1996 she realized that there wasn't adequate accommodation for people wanting to vacation on Gabriola, and started Gabriola Island Vacation Rentals with 8 houses. The company grew every year so she after 3 years she asked Elly to join her as a partner.

James Hallam

Director of IT & Marketing

James handles all of the technology and marketing needs for Global Havens. He designs and manages the website, creates marketing materials and creates promotional merchandise. He has been with the company for 5 years, and is currently studying to be an Industrial Designer.
