This cottage on a forested acre features brand new fittings and furniture, including a large romantic en suite with Jacuzzi tub. A cedar cottage, it is finished in pine and beautiful ceramic tile, contemporary decorated rooms with windows to breath-taking views.
Lie in bed in the Master Suite and watch the sun come up over the ocean and Valdez Island. At night count the stars through the large skylights over the bed in the guest room. Drink your coffee in the sitting room and watch the deer graze, sit at one of the private decks and watch your children play on the beach or take in the natural beauty that surrounds you in peace and tranquility. Just bring your groceries and relax.
The beach is easily accessible and at low tide offers a sandy retreat. At low tide also there are edible clams, crabs and oysters for the picking and blue herons and eagles can be viewed hunting for fish in the shallows. For much of the year sea lions and seals can be viewed from the deck hunting for fish and occasionally Orcas will pass through the straits.
Go beach combing. Take a walk to the park by Link Island (where there's a swimming beach) or the Lookout. Take a stroll down one of the many forested lanes that could lead you to the “Faery Tree” or the “Shoe Tree”. See the Seafern Cottage guidebook for a list of local Artisans.
Close by on Gabriola island, seek out the golf course, art galleries and the Saturday Farmer's Market.
There are no stores on Mudge Island so all groceries will need to be brought with you. As all garbage needs to be taken away with you on the water taxi we suggest minimal packaging where possible. The price includes 1 return water taxi trip. Taxi service can easily be arranged for $30.00 return if you need to visit Gabriola.
