This sunny south-facing cottage on 1 acre is across the road from the pass between Mudge and Cedar by the Sea on Vancouver Island. From the deck you get a good view of the water and Vancouver Island. Twin Maples is near the end of a dead end road in a quiet neighborhood. Swimming is a casual 3km drive through evergreen forest to a sandy beach between Mudge and Link Islands The cottage comes with an aging van to help you get around the island in style!
As you enter this charming cottage you will at once be aware of the owners' keen decorating sense with soothing coloured walls and surprising details throughout.
A large deck with patio furniture and a free-standing fireplace invite guests outside even in chilly weather. In a separate building there is a wood-heated sauna and there's also an outdoor shower and outhouse.
The owner will pick you up in his boat and take you from Green Wharf on Gabriola on the short ride to Mudge. There are no stores on Mudge; you will need to take all food with you. All garbage must also be carried out so minimal packaging is helpful.
